tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"false\"><p>Mi investigaci\u00f3n se enfoca en el estudio de los procesos ecol\u00f3gicos y evolutivos responsables de los patrones actuales de biodiversidad. Particularmente me interesa el efecto de la dispersi\u00f3n en la ecolog\u00eda y evoluci\u00f3n de las especies. Por ejemplo, usando experimentos evolutivos he estudiado como la dispersi\u00f3n, el tama\u00f1o del h\u00e1bitat y la competencia entre especies afecta la colonizaci\u00f3n, la extinci\u00f3n y la adaptaci\u00f3n a nuevos h\u00e1bitats. Tambi\u00e9n he estudiado como la habilidad de dispersi\u00f3n en peces arrecifales afecta sus rangos geogr\u00e1ficos usando modelos de simulaci\u00f3n matem\u00e1tica y an\u00e1lisis macroecol\u00f3gicos.
