Restoration of habitats and ecosystems

Environmental changes, especially ecosystem degradation, are occurring at a speed that makes traditional conservation measures (e.g., creating nature reserves) ineffective in the recovery of ecosystems, their biodiversity, and ecosystem services. Currently, ecological restoration is considered the best alternative to begin the recovery of ecosystems. In this regard, ECOMARES has members specialized in this component, capable of proposing and developing ecosystem restoration projects and programs, including the development of environmental compensation programs. We also have the experience to train people on this topic through courses and workshops.
