Juliana Vanegas Gonzalez, MSc

"I am a marine biologist with experience primarily in the research and conservation of marine ecosystems. My main interest lies in corals and coral reefs, and the aspects related to their biology, conservation, and restoration. My experience is diverse; I have worked on the conservation of threatened species, research on introduced species, biodiversity, coral reproduction, reef restoration, molecular biology, and planktonic communities. I have participated in the development of environmental management plans, invasive species control plans, and marine ecosystem monitoring in both the Caribbean and the Pacific of Colombia. Additionally, I have research experience in coral reefs in countries such as Curacao and Malaysia. I have contributed to the production of technical documents and scientific articles.
