Scientific Research

The lack of scientifically valid information hinders or prevents proper decision-making regarding natural resource management. In order to help fill these information gaps, ECOMARES dedicates its efforts to the formulation, management, and execution of research projects on various aspects of marine biology and ecology, ranging from biological inventories to the characterization and analysis of ecological and evolutionary processes. Given the previous experience of the foundation's members, one of the research focuses is coral reefs and their associated species.
