As part of the environmental studies for the Tribugá Bay study area concerning a port infrastructure project, Ecomares participated as a consulting entity in the development of a conservation zone portfolio by defining biodiversity conservation objects and their geographic distribution areas. This was done through an extensive collection of literature on the biodiversity of the Chocó biogeographical region, which included both marine-coastal and terrestrial fauna and flora, in addition to a series of interviews, consultations, and workshops with experts on the subject, as well as with officials from various related institutions.
