About Us

The Foundation for Marine Biological Research and Conservation ECOMARES is a non-governmental organization (NGO), with an environmental focus and non-profit status, established in 2009 in the city of Cali, Colombia. Its mission is to contribute to the research, conservation, and restoration of biological diversity, particularly in marine ecosystems. Its members have worked as educators, researchers, natural resource managers, and conservationists, both in Colombia and internationally, in countries such as Panama, Costa Rica, the United States, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and South Africa, among others.
